So, my wife is pretty much ready to have our baby girl. Though she is only 30 centimeters and can still easily move around, she’s about ready to be done as a ‘prego’. The ‘prego’ wants to be able to put her shoes on and everything else she used to do. But hold on… I am going to rant and negatively rave about baby stuff. Baby stuff is plain ugly. Its all trashy plastic with trashy plastic colors. My wife wants a $159 Maxi Cosi car seat that I think looks sweet, but beyond that everything in Babies’R'Us looks like it should be tossed. I want designer baby crap… now that’s what I am talking about baby stuff that doesn’t look like baby stuff. Oh if I had a little drawing talent… and capital…

Christmas 2007
Deb’s Christmas favorite gift was a new BEMIS cushioned toilet seat that I got her (Its sweet, I feel like an old person on it). The hint line (its my tradition to give Christmas presents with hints on them) said, “For all the crap you put me through.” She didn’t have any clue what it was and then when she opened it, she was like, “Um, thanks.” (We both knew we needed one but as a Christmas gift??). Well she has finally come around and declares, “This was the best gift!!”

Deb & Ben Maughan
www.debandben2007.org So its officially been about four months since we were married in Salt Lake City, Utah. (Did you like how I started that sentence out with “official” and then gave an estimate?!). We have absolutely loved every minute of it! We started it off by going to Maui for seven days (Don’t worry I will post pictures). About halfway through we had a weekend getaway to Park City. Thanksgiving we spent a week down in California, as my parents are moving to San Diego. (They bought a sweet house, I can’t wait to help them set it up posh). This Christmas, we spent in our house in Provo. All my family came into town and her parents came down from Canada (I will have to post on the Great White North Country another time).

Klymit Insulation Technology
So I decided to get a start on some New Year’s resolutions… Number 1 – Create a personal/business blog. This post is going to be all business. I want to tell you about ‘Klymit’, a revolutionary form of insulation that competes with Thinsulate. When I go up to The Canyons ski resort or Park City ski resort, I used to have some major problems with the old insulation. 1) I still got cold. 2) I had to wear bulky gear to stay warm, killing mobility. 3) Once the sun came up, I was too hot with all my morning gear I put on. So I gave up skiing. Too much of a hassle. Until ‘Klymit’. ’Klymit’ is a new form of insulation that is more efficient than Thinsulate, Primaloft, Aerogel, etc. Its also thinner, keeping me mobile. Finally, you can actually change the amount of insulation in the jacket on the fly if the outside temperature gets warmer or colder or my body heat gets too high. Its some pretty sweet stuff that a bunch of engineers and boarders figured out. Stay tuned because this is going to be big…
